Prostate health

Any man can get prostate cancer but it is more common in African American men.

You may be at a higher risk for prostate cancer if you are:
• 40 or older
• have a father or brother with prostate cancer
• eat a lot of animal fat (such as lard or butter)
 
Signs may include:
• Frequent urination or trouble urinating
• Trouble getting an erection
• Blood in the urine or semen
• Pain in the lower back or hips

Talk with your doctor about:
• A digital rectal exam (DRE)
• A PSA blood test

Remember, prostate cancer can be treated.
